The Merrell Down & Dirty Obstacle Race presented by Subaru is an obstacle-climbing, trail-blasting race that will push you to your limits. Two courses, 20+ obstacles, one true challenge.
3 Mile Course Description
Mile 1 – The course starts out with rolling hills as runners leave the start arch through the ball fields. After crossing the main park road the course come to the summit of the winter snow sledding hills. Down the hill and then up another and runners cross another park road into a large open field. Runners follow the trail around the outside of the field before coming to the 5k/10k split. The 5k course enters the woods while the 10k course continues around the field.
Mile 2 – Runners loop through flat wooded trails around a pond before ducking through a tunnel under the main park road. The course surfaces on the other side of the road and then follows the main park road to the base of the snow sledding hills.
Mile 3 – Once at the summit it is downhill from here! Runners will cross the main park road and head downhill towards the swim beach. After a refreshing dip, the course follows the water’s edge back to the main event site.
6 Mile Course Description

Mile 2 and 3 – The course shoots through another field before entering a 2 mile loop through the woods. The trail features rolling hills and lush forest on each side.
Mile 4 – The trail continues through the woods before emerging where the runners first entered at approximately the 3.5 mile mark. Runners continue through the woods with a brief emergence to the main road before meeting back up with the 5k course next to the pond.
Mile 5 – Runners loop through flat wooded trails around a pond before ducking through a tunnel under the main park road. The course surfaces on the other side of the road and then follows the main park road to the base of the snow sledding hills.
