n 2013, the Mankato Marathon started the Mankato Marathon Charity Program and helped raise nearly $17,000 for three local charities.

This year four charities including Girls on the Run, BackPack Food Program, Project for Teens and Camp Sweet Life have been chosen. In addition to having champion runners raising pledges, the four programs have potential to raise additional dollars through registrations. Registrants will be able to elect to donate to any or all of the programs when they register for a Mankato Marathon race.

Scheels & Under Armour Sport & Health Expo 11:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Myers Field House on the Minnesota State University, Mankato Campus Packet pick-up for pre-registered runners. All runners are encouraged to pick-up at the expo. Registration for KidsK from 12 to 2 p.m. if race is still open Registration for 5K from 12:00 to 3:30 p.m. if race is still open Registration for 10K, Relay, Half Marathon and Marathon from 12:00 to 7:00 p.m. if races are still open. No registration on race day. Meet with exhibitors, test products and purchase merchandise Expo Information. Go> Toddler Trot 1:00 p.m. Start Myers Field House on the Minnesota State University, Mankato Campus Ages: 2-5 years old, 50 yard dash, FREE event Race day information. Go> Diaper Dash 1:10 p.m. Start Myers Field House on the Minnesota State University, Mankato Campus Ages: up to 24 months, 10 yard dash, FREE event Race day information. Go> YMCA KidsK 2:15 – all participants at start line 2:30 Start – ages 7 to 12 2:45 Start – ages 6 and under MSU-M Campus Parking Lot 21 located at the corner of Warren Street and Stadium Road.Come early and join in a YMCA kids activity before the race. Race day information. Go> Orthopaedic & Fracture Clinic Speaker Series 1:30 – 7:00 p.m. at the Myers Field House on the Minnesota State University, Mankato Campus Speaker Series Information. Go> MM-5k-2013 5K 4:00 pm start at MSU-M Campus Parking Lot 21 on the corner of Warren and Stadium. The starting line is the same used for the marathon.The real party begins in Mankato – After the Post Race Festivities stick around and enjoy the Greater Mankato nightlife with a variety of restaurants and pubs to choose from. You’ll find an abundance of live music, trivia and other entertainment. Race day information.
