Get ready to represent your state in this epic 5k & half marathon showdown! These races start in Stillwater, Minnesota and finish in Wisconsin shortly after crossing the I-94 bridge over Lake St. Croix. Runners will battle for the lead and the honor of bringing home the win for their state as they race over the river into Hudson, Wisconsin. Just like the long standing rivalry between Minnesota and Wisconsin, this race has a strong history and has been taking place annually since 1997! Come for the spirit of friendly competition then stay for the food and festivities in the park.
Battle for the Border:
The winner of the border battle is determined by adding up the first 5 finishers from Minnesota, Wisconsin, and other states. The group with the lowest total is crowned champion and the top 5 runners from that state receive a special Final Stretch duffle bag. There will also be a State Spirit Award given to the participant who displays outstanding pride for their state, so be sure to wear your face paint, costumes, or anything that will display your state pride!
