Brazen Racing
Located on what was once the populated part of Contra Costa County, Black Diamond Mines and Contra Loma Regional Parks offer great trail running, panoramic vistas and a chance to see what much of local area was like in centuries past.
Three distances will be available: 5K (3.27 miles), 10K (6.64 miles) and Half Marathon (13.49 miles).
Start times:
Half Marathon: 8:00
10K: 8:15
5K: 8:30
All courses will have hills, the most challenging reserved for the half marathon runners! 5K and 10K will run around the lagoon on the Shore and Lake View trails. The 10K will go into Black Diamond Mines a short ways, while the half marathon will go deeper and get into some great single track in the heart of old mining operations there.
Course will be almost entirely on dirt trails. As always, we welcome all levels of runners. Hikers/walkers too.
