ArtFields® is a unique Art Competition and Celebration to be held in the historic community of Lake City, South Carolina. This 10-day event features live music, dancing, delicious Southern foods, and cash prizes totaling $100,000 that will be awarded to winning artists, including the $50,000 Top Prize, the $25,000 Juried Panel prize, the $12,500 People’s Choice 2-D, and the $12,500 People’s Choice 3-D.

Winning entries will be determined by votes from ArtFields® attendees and a juried panel. Mark your calendar–ArtFields® will take place April 25-May 4, 2014.

ArtFields® is a charitable program of Lake City Partnership Council, a federally-recognized tax-exempt public charity, which mission is to improve the quality of life and promote the well-being of the citizens residing within the community of Lake City, South Carolina. ArtFields® is designed to provide opportunities for the cultivation of artists and to offer educational and arts programs for the benefit of the public.

When ArtFields® kicks off on April 25, 2014, the historic farming community of Lake City will be overflowing with an incredible collection of original artwork from artists across the Southeast. Join us to celebrate Lake City’s rich agricultural past, present, and future. All attendees are encouraged to vote for their favorite artists while enjoying ArtFields® in Lake City. Art Competition

ArtFields® will offer the largest cash prize of any art contest in the Southeast, awarding one Top Prize of $50,000, a Juried Panel Prize of $25,000, and a People’s Choice prize of $12,500 for two-dimensional art and $12,500 for three-dimensional art to winners of the ArtFields® 2014 arts competition. The contest will be open to emerging and established artists at all levels of recognition and education who reside in the 12 Southeastern states (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia). Two-dimensional and three-dimensional artwork will be the categories for submission. The call for submissions opens Wednesday, October 30, 2013.

How it Works

ArtFields® will award $100,000 in prize money during our second annual event April 25-May 4, 2014 in Lake City, South Carolina. Selected artists will be invited to exhibit their work in one of the historic downtown Lake City venues, from a former mercantile to a barbershop for ten days. Art competition winners will be determined by popular choice and juried panel votes. Voters will have to be present in Lake City, SC to cast their votes during ArtFields®.
