Say goodbye to 2015 with a 5K, 10K or half marathon! Whether it’s your first trail run or you’re looking to log that 1,000th mile before the clock strikes midnight, Lake Chabot is where the party is going to be! Come enjoy the morning of New Year’s Eve at the beautiful Lake Chabot Marina in Castro Valley for the scenic 5K, 10K or half marathon. For the more adventurous, you can run the “Brazen New Year Marathon” (= two half marathons, one on 12/27 and one on 1/1) and then brag to your friends: “It took me two years to finish that marathon”! The half marathon runners will run the same course both days, but in different directions each day.
