Introducing Get Stoked, a 3-city, three day, tri-sport outdoor fitness challenge tour featuring Open Water Swimming, Stand Up Paddleboarding, and Distance Skateboarding. Designed to paint the city in fitness finesse, Get Stoked will be taking over Peachtree City, Ga. (just outside Atlanta), Rock Hill, SC (just outside Charlotte), and Portland, OR.

Mastermind behind this outdoor fitness challenge is action sports entrepreneur, Jonathan Strauss. Hundreds of fitness freaks will come together to challenge themselves while spectators, fans, and partners will ALL be jammin’ on the sand to live music featuring a two-day talent lineup of homegrown artists with hundreds of participants per city. Participants can all come together as a community and celebrate the sport, the community and the Get Stoked mission.

Portland, OR on August 29-31, 2014

Participants will be able to compete in one sport or two if they like. If they challenge and complete all 3 sports Participants will earn bragging rights and will be recognized as Outdoor Superstars! The Get Stoked payoff happens in the Sunday finale, which will pit the winners of each race going up against each other in a one of a kind triathlon: a ¼ mile swim, a ¼ mile paddle, and a ½ mile skate. The two triathlon weekend winners will be crowned King and Queen of Get Stoked! Stand Up Paddleboarding, a surface water sport recognized as the fastest growing sport over the last two years with over 200% growth since 2012, will be held in 5k and 10k distances at the fitness challenge. Distance Skateboarding has been grabbed by younger generations as alternative transport and Get Stoked will be holding one mile and 10k distances for challengers. Open Water Swimming is a sport that has experience massive growth recently due to the huge success of the sport of Triathlon, and Get Stoked will include a one mile and 5k distance race during the tour. Spectator perks include: free prizes, demonstrations, killer food, merchandise tents packed with the hottest goods, swimsuit fashion shows, and multiple partner activation zones.

In addition, I agree to abide by and be governed by the rules of World Open Water Swimming Association (WOWSA), International Distance Skateboard Association (IDSA) and World Paddleboard Association (WPA). GET STOKED Waiver of Liability by participant from liability: I hereby release Get Stoked, and any other participating organization from any claims and damages received by me as a result of my participation in the race and furthermore, hold them harmless and indemnified from any damages. In addition, I agree to abide by and be governed by the rules set forth by Get Stoked Event Management.
I authorize Get Stoked to use my name, statements and likeness, without charge, for promotional purposes in publications, advertising, video, web, new media, or other formats.
