Homebrewers will compete in the Door County Homebrewing Championships in 11 categories, and aficionados can participate in the Rare and Cellar Beer Swap to try hard-to-find creations.
The third annual Door County Beer Festival will welcome Wisconsin a brewing groundbreaker to the 2014 event.
Deb Carey, founder and CEO of New Glarus Brewing Company, will join the festival’s VIP event, the first of a slate of seminars highlighting Wisconsin brewing. Not only is New Glarus a producer of some of the most revered beers in the country, but Carey is the first woman founder of a United States brewery.
Door County Brewing Company will unveil limited edition beers from their new tap room in Baileys Harbor.
The festival is held in conjunction with the Ride for Nature to benefit the Ridges Sanctuary on June 14, 2014, on the grounds of the Baileys Harbor Town Hall Park. Attendees will enjoy unlimited tastings of 140 craft beers, live music, food from some of the peninsula’s best artisan chefs, and a full day of educational seminars.
