The Chick-fil-A cow greats you at the mile markers and will run with the kids.

The proceeds from the event will allow Volunteers in Medical Missions to plan and promote the work of medical mission teams which travel around the world.

Brief Description

South Cove Park is a beautiful setting for a scenic 5K race. It has picnic facilities, tennis courts and a lake. This is a certified 5K course on rolling hills located primarily within the park.

Event Details

The 5K is on a certified course (SC06020BS) that runs through South Cove Park in Seneca, SC. The first mile is flat around an island; the second mile is made up of a couple rolling hills and the third is a down hill run to the finish.

There is also a certified one mile run (SC13095DW) which begins after the 5K.

The fun run (200 meters) for children 6 and under will also be held – medals will be awarded to all the children who participate.

5K – Overall male and female
5K – Overall master male and female
5K – Age group awards (3 deep) male and female 1-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24…..84-100
1Mile – Overall male and female
First in each age group male and female 1-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24….74-100

There is a team event for churches with awards based on age group standings and the number of pre-registered representatives.

The first and second place elementary school will receive a cash award of $300 and $200 respectively. This is based upon the most pre-registered runners, walkers, teachers and friends of the school that register.

Drawings will be based upon bib numbers and winners can chose from an assortment of gifts from local running stores as well as from artifacts imported from Honduras and Peru.
